How to use spices in your cooking

A common mistake that many new cooks make is to under season their food. At Troubadour Spice Blends we always say that you should "use as much as you think you need, and then add in just a bit more". Some tips for using our spice blends are as follows:

 

-- Place your meats, poultry, or seafood in a resealable bag or covered dish. Add your favorite TSB product and let sit in the refrigerator for as long as you like. We recommend for a few hours or even overnight.

 

Consider how you are using your TSB product:

-- Are you using it by itself, or as an ingredient in a recipe?

-- How are you going to prepare your food (cast iron pan, oven, gas grill, smoker, charcoal grill, non stick pan, crock pot)? All of these variables will affect how much TSB you will taste.

-- Most likely you will need to experiment in order to figure out what the right amount is for you. But, that's part of the fun!

-- And lastly and most importantly, you can always re-dust with TSB before serving!
